Answer:

If the density of an object is greater than water ( 1 g / cm³ ) then that object will sink. If it is less than water's density, then the object will float. Hence 1.42 > 1. This implies that the object will sink.

explation

If the density of an object is greater than water ( 1 g / cm³ ) then that object will sink. If it is less than water's density, then the object will float.

Density = Mass / Volume

Volume of object = 350 cm³

Mass of object = 500 g

Density = 500 g / 350 cm³

Density = 1.42 g / cm³

Hence 1.42 > 1. This implies that the object will sink.

Mass of water displaced = Density of Water * Volume

=> Mass of water displaced = 1 g / cm³ * 350 cm³ = 350 g

Hence mass of water displaced = 350 g.

Answer:

Hi! you're answer is....

If the density of an object is greater than water (1 g/cm³ ) then that object will sink. If it is less than water's density, then the object will float.

Density Mass / Volume =

Volume of object = 350 cm³ Mass of object = 500 g

Density = 500 g / 350 cm³

Density = 1.42 g / cm³

Hence 1.42 > 1. This implies that the object will sink.

Mass of water displaced= Density of Water * Volume

=> Mass of water displaced = 1 g/cm³ * 350 cm³ = 350 g

Hence mass of water displaced = 350 g.
