Respiration is the process of breathing in and breathing out of the air by the body. As we all know lungs is the organ involved in breathing process and the average capacity of lungs for a adult(male) is usually 6 litres. At the time of birth the average respriratory rate is 30-60 breaths per minute. As we become older(becoming adult) it reduces to 12-20 breaths per minute.
