equation: CH₃COONa + NaOH  →  Na₂CO₃ + CH₄

RMM of CH₃COONa = 12 + 3 + 12 +16 + 16 + 23

                                  = 82g.

               Mass of CH₃COONa         Volume of CH

                             82g                 →         22.4 dm³ (1RMM = 22.4 vol)

                           20.5g                →                x

x = 22.4×20.5/82          

x = 5.6 dm³
