Density is =mass/volume

if density of mercury is 68x and that of water is 5x and volume is same .

68x =mass/50

mass=3400x

5x=mass/50

mass=250x

ratio of their mass=3400x/250x

68:5

Answer:

68:5

Explanation:

Volume of water= 50ml

Volume of water= 50mlvolume of mercury=50ml

Volume of water= 50mlvolume of mercury=50mldensity= mass/volume

Volume of water= 50mlvolume of mercury=50mldensity= mass/volumemass= x

Volume of water= 50mlvolume of mercury=50mldensity= mass/volumemass= xratio of density= 68:5

Volume of water= 50mlvolume of mercury=50mldensity= mass/volumemass= xratio of density= 68:5x/50=68

Volume of water= 50mlvolume of mercury=50mldensity= mass/volumemass= xratio of density= 68:5x/50=68x=50x68

Volume of water= 50mlvolume of mercury=50mldensity= mass/volumemass= xratio of density= 68:5x/50=68x=50x68=3400
