The correct answer is Duodenum.

The food that we take has huge amount of water in it, which is required for the easy digestion and absorption of food. Most of the food particles are absorbed by the small intestine, and the water present in the food is absorbed by the duodenum part of small intestine. The rate of absorption of water in small intestine is 6.5L/day. This process is very fast as compared to the absorption of food.
