molar mass of solute is 2g/mol

mass of solute = 108.24 g

mass of solvent = 1000g

molar mass of water = 18 g/mol

let molar mass of solute is M.

we know, change in pressure/pressure of pure water vapor = no of mole of solute/no of mole of solvent.

⇒(1754 - 17.354)/1754 = (108.24/M)/(1000/18)

⇒1736.646/1754 = 108.24 × 18/1000M

⇒M = (108.24 × 18 × 1754)/(1000 × 1736.646)

= 1.967 ≈ 2g

hence, molecular weight of solute is 2g/mol
