Answer:

The reason light travels in a straight line is actually quite easy to understand. The first step consists in getting rid of the irrational terms of Mathematical ‘physics’ that interfere with our understanding: energy, field, particle, wave, wave-packet. These terms are irrational because they are CONCEPTS which the mathematicians and their followers treat as OBJECTS. It is irrational in Science, specifically in Physics, to treat a concept as an object. And that’s the fatal problem with Quantum Mechanics, General Relativity, and the rest of Mathematical ‘physics’. The physical interpretations of Mathematical ‘physics’ have no place in Science!
