The weather department has predicted that a thunderstorm is likely to occur on a certain day. Suppose you have to go out on that day. Would you carry an umbrella?

No. Carrying an umbrella during a thundestorm can be risky.

A thunderstorm can happen along with lightening and during a lightening, electric discharge may happen.

It can travel through the metallic rod of an umbrella and a person holding the umbrella is susceptible to receive an electric shock.

Therefore, it is not at all advisable to carry an umbrella during a thunderstorm.

However, if there is no lightening, then it can be carried along.
