The weight of a body at the poles is greater thasn the weight at the equator. Is it the actual weight or the apparent weight we are talking about? Does your answer depend on whether only the earth's roptation is taken into account or the flattening of the earth at the poles is also taken into account?

Answer:

The weight of body depend upon distance of the body from earth's center

The earth is not uniformly a sphere

at poles the distance from the earth's centerof earth is minimum and at the equator the distance from center is max

Weight is product of gravity and the mass the mass is constant and when we move towards the center of the earth the gravity of earth increases and result in increase of mass
