The weight of a stone is less at the top of a mountain than that at its bottom

Answer: This is because the distance between the stone and the center of the earth is less at the bottom of the hill as compared to the top.

I know it will not vary very much but a change will surely take place which maybe in equal to 0.000005 grams (just a representation of very small value).
