Find the current amount of low quality wheat:

Low Quality Wheat = 10% of 150 kg = 0.1 x 150 = 15 kg

Define x:

Let x be the amount of good quality wheat to be added

Amount of Wheat after x is added = 150 + x

Solve x:

15/(150 + x) = 5/100

5(150 + x) = 15(100)

750 + 5x = 1500

5x = 750

x = 150 kg

Answer: 150 kg of good wheat needs to be added to make the low quality wheat be 5%.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x be the total amount of good quality wheat to be added to make the low quality reach to 5%.

And y be the required kg to be added to 150 so that low quality wheat becomes 5%

Therefore, x=150 + y........ (1)

Now by proportionality,

150÷x = 5%÷10%

X= (150x10)÷5

X = 300...

U need to find the required amout i.e y.. so..

By eguation 1 we get...

300 = 150 + y

Y = 300- 150

Y =150 kgs
