Here is your answer
Let the length is x units

Width is x + 1 units

Area of rectangle = 20 units
Area of rectangle = Length × Breadth

ATQ
x(x + 1) = 20 \\ x {}^{2} + x - 20 = 0 \\ x {}^{2} + 5x - 4x - 20 = 0 \\ x(x + 5) - 4(x + 5) = 0 \\ (x + 5)(x - 4) = 0 \\ x = - 5 \: \: and \: \: 4 \\ as \: x \: is \: not \: negative \: hence \\ x = 4
Therefore Length of rectangle is 4 units
