the width of a rectangle is two third 2/3 its length if the perimeter is 180mts find the dimensions of the rectangle

Hey


Let the length of rectange be x m
So ,
breadth be 2x / 3 .

Perimeter = 2 ( l + b )
And given perimeter = 180 m

Now ,

2(x +  \frac{2x}{3})  = 180
 =  > x +  \frac{2x}{3}  =  \frac{180}{2}
 =  >  \frac{3x + 2x}{3}  = 90
 =  > 5x = 90 \times 3
 =  > x =  \frac{270}{5}
 =  >  x = 54
So ,

Length = 54 m
Breadth = 2 * 54 / 3 = 2 * 18 = 36 m
