The window of a room is of side as shown in figure.how much net required to cover 2 such windows

Answer:

area of the rectangle= l*b =200cm*140cm

=28000cm²

area of a circle= πr²

but it only needs half of the circle then

1/2(22*70*70/7)

=7700cm²

now net required to cover two windows

= 2(28000+7700) cm²

=17850 cm²

Net required for one window is of area:

Circle area + rectangle area

= π×r^2 + length ×breadth

= 22/7 ×70×70 + 140 ×200

= 15,400 + 28,000

= 43,400 cmsq.

Therefore net area required for two windows is

2 x 43,400

= 86,800
