Since, from the question we know that the potential energy is given by the formulae of U=k(x + y). So, here the points are given as (1,1) to (2,3) so on substituting the values of these two points we will get the initial and final potential energy.

So, the initial potential energy is Ui=k(1+1) = 2k and the final potential energy will be Uf=k(2+3) = 5k. Hence, the work done will be final potential energy - initial potential energy which is 2k-5k = -3k.
