Work done by any force is defined by

W = F.d

here

F = force due to which work done is required

d = displacement

if force is inclined at some angle then work done is given as

W = Fdcos\theta

now here if we pull an object then applied force is same as weight of the object

F = mg = 10*9.8 = 98 N

displacement in the vertical direction = 3m

 W = 98 * 3 = 294 J

so work done to pull an object up the inclined is 294 J
