Explanation:

- The World Bank has been spending 31.8 billion dollars in education since the MDGs were introduced in 2000, and the International Development Association has contributed more than 17.3 billion dollars of that. After 1 April 2014, the Bank offered IDA funding for basic education for an additional $939 million, which is 25 per cent above and above its promise.
- As of June 30 , 2015, the IDA 's latest basic education contributions in FY15 totalled $1,079 million. This means a combined $2.13 billion progress to our MDG commitment, which is $1.38 billion greater than the initial commitment.

- A $1 billion project for Indian primary education (Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan III), initiated over a three-year term, was approved by the World Bank's Board in May 2014. This IDA help initiative for fundamental education in India, which meets the needs of 200 million children & 4.5 million teaching staff, is the World Bank's largest initiative in learning.
