As a result of the feedback on the Last Call draft of this specification, the XML Core Working Group has revised the specification in the expectation of issuing a Candidate Recommendation version. Though this current draft is not quite the CR version, it is being published so that Last Call reviewers can evaluate how their feedback was incorporated.
