The Lost Dollar is written by Stephen Leacock in which the writer talks about the material aspect of life. The theme of the story revolves around the fact that materialism and money can be a source of creating problems whether the people connected are best friends or relatives. Money can be a source of conflict and such conflicts go deeper that expected. The issues related to materialism are the themes of the story. Moreover another theme that can be traced is that of sense of responsibility. When we borrow money we need to develop our sense pf responsibility that this money needs to be returned as well.
