Goa features a tropical monsoon climate under the Köppen climate classification. Goa, being in the
zone and near the Arabian Sea, has a hot and humid climate for most of the year.
But according to the report prepared by, a consultancy service NABCONS, appointed by the State
government State Action Plan for Climate Change (SAPCC), Goa's mean annual temperature has incr
by over 1°C since the beginning of the 20th century till date (1901-2018) and is projected to increase
by the 2030s. The study further states that the mean annual rainfall in Goa has increased by 68 per cen
the period 1901-2015. Climate Change is an issue that has been overlooked by the State, a reason why
action plan has been delayed by so many years.
Use innovative way to present information on the climatic condition of Goa by integrating art su
collages, handmade thematic maps related to Goa, pie chart, bar graph, data handling, origami,
sequins, threads, designed borders... etc.
