Thank you for the question!
The whole story " the God lives in panch" revolves around one aspect which is, with authority and position comes the great responsibility. This tale is about the two bosom friends and how they abide by the rules of panchayat. Like when the Jumman's aunt took her case to Alagu and at first he was reluctant to take her case as it was totally against his friend Jumman but still he couldn't snub his conscience and won the argument over Jumman. On the other hand, Jumman who was overwhelmed with fury and anguish by seeing his best friend standing against him, decided to take avenge. But the story tells us that he was also guided by the moral principles and true teachings of justice. Thus when Alagu brought in panchayat in which he wanted justice, at that moment instead of taking revenge Jumman honestly took the decision and fully supported Alagu's argument.
Hope it helps.
