Given :-

There are 10 cards in a box with numbers 1 to 10 marked on each of them.

R.T.P :-

To find the probability of drawing a card with prime number.....

Solution :-

Total number of cards = 10

No. of prime numbered cards = 4 ( 2,3,5,7)

We know that ,

probability =  \frac{no.of \:  \: favourable \: cards}{total \: no. \: of \: cards}

So,the probability of drawing a prime numbered card is .....

probability =  \frac{4}{10}  =  \frac{2}{5}

Therefore , probability is 2/5....

Answer- The above question is from the chapter 'Probability'.

Probability- It is the branch of mathematics with deals with the events and tell how likely they occur.

Formula of probability: Favourable outcomes ÷ Total number of outcomes

Question: There are 10 cards in a box with numbers 1 to 10 marked on each of them. What is the probability of drawing a card with prime number?

Solution: Total number of outcomes = 10

Favourable outcomes (Prime Numbers) = 2, 3, 5 and 7 = 4

Required probability = Favourable outcomes ÷ Total number of outcomes

                                   = 4/10 = 2/5

∴Probability (Prime Numbers) = 2/5
