there are 1000 childrens in a school for a p t drill they have to stand in such a way that the number of rows and the columns remain same how many children's would be left out in this arrangement

no of total students can participate in pt drill = 961
remaining students= 1000-961
= 39


so 39 students would be left out of this arrangement..

For equal no. of students in each row and column we need to find nearest perfect square to 1000 
which is 961 square of 31 
so, children left out will be 1000-961 = 39
