Given,

Number of seats in the balcony of theatre = 120

These seats are 1/5th of the total seats of theatre.

The total seats are = ?

let the total number of seats be x

According to the problem,

1/5 × x = 120

x = 120 × 5

x = 600

Therefore, there are totally 600 seats in the theatre.

No. of seats in the balcony = 120

Then let the total seat = y

As this is the only 1/5 of the total seat.

A/Q,

=> 1/5 x y = 120

=> y = 120 x 5/1

=> y = 600

Hence, the total number of Seats = y = 600.
