Answer:

The average of the remaining numbers are 7.5

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that,

The average of 13 Numbers = 9

largest number = 26

smallest number = 8.5

To find

The average of the remaining numbers .....?

Explanation,

According the Question,

We have,

The average of Numbers = 9

largest number = 26

smallest number = 8.5

total numbers = 13

let's find the total sum of numbers

We know that,

Average = (total sum of numbers)/(total numbers)

So,

total sum of numbers  = Average of numbers × total numbers

                                          = 9 × 13

total sum of numbers  = 117

There is two numbers 26 and 8.5 are given

So,

    total sum  of remaining numbers = 117 - 25 - 8.5

total sum  of remaining numbers = 82.5

Now,

    remaining numbers = 11

So,

The average of the remaining numbers = ( total sum  of remaining numbers) / remaining numbers

The average of the remaining numbers = \frac{82.5}{11}

                                                                    = 7.5

Answer:

The average of the remaining numbers are 7.5
