Given : -

Total Number of people = 15

Ratio of girls to boys = 2:3

To Find : -

No. of girls and No. of boys.

Solution : -

• Let the Number of girls = 2x

• Let the Number of boys = 3x

• Total No. of People = 15

According to the Question :-

2x + 3x = 15

5x = 15

x = 15/3

$\bf{x=3}$

So , the value of x is 3 ..

Hence :

No. of girls = x

= 3

No. of Boys = 3(x)

= 3(3)

= 9

Therefore , the total no. of girls in the swimming club is 3 and the total no. of boys is 9 ..
