Step-by-step explanation:

Let the number of books be 6x,7x and 5x

According to Question

6x+7x+5x=1800

13x+5x=1800

18x=1800

X=1800/18

X=100

6x=6×100=600

7x=7×100=700

5x=5×100=500

therefore, the number of books of each subject are 600,700 and 500 respectively.

Given :-

  • There are 1800 books in a library if the ratio of English , Maths and Science is 6:7:5.

To find :-

  • The number of books of each subject.

Solution :-

  • Total number of books = 1800

  • The ratio of English , Maths and Science = 6 : 7 : 5

Let the English books be 6x, Maths books be 7x and Science books be 5x

According to question

→ English + Maths + Science = 1800

→ 6x + 7x + 5x = 1800

→ 18x = 1800

→ x = 1800/18

→ x = 100

Hence,

  • English books = 6x = 600

  • Maths books = 7x = 700

  • Science books = 5x = 500

Verification :-

→ English + Maths + Science = 1800

→ 600 + 700 + 500 = 1800

→ 600 + 1200 = 1800

→ 1800 = 1800
