 \dashrightarrow \tt \frac{8}{3}  \div  \frac{2}{3}  \\

 \dashrightarrow \tt \frac{8}{3}  \times  \frac{3}{2}  =  \frac{8 \times 3}{3 \times 2}  \\

 \dashrightarrow \tt  \cancel\frac{24}{6}  = 4 \\

\Huge\therefore4 people are sharing the pizza.

Given:

  • 2 2/3 pizzas
  • each person has 2/3 of pizza​

To find:

how many people are there

Solution:

let the number of people be x.

so if x people each have 2/3 of pizza and the sum of all is 2 2/3

then,

2 2/3 = x * 2/3

converting the fraction on left hand side,

8/3 = x * 2/3

rearranging the equation, we get

8/3 * 3/2 = x

4 = x

hence there are 4 people sharing the pizza.
