first fill 5 litres container and then empty it in 3 litres container then empty the three litre container now pour the water of 5 litre container in 3 litre container now there will be 2 litre water in 3 litre. Now fill the 5 litre container again now as 3 litre container will be 1 litre empty fill it with the 5 litre container. As 5 litre container pours only one litre in 3 litre container. 5 litre container will now have 4 litres of water
