total no.of employees = 375
let the no.of officers be 3x
and the no.of workers be 22x.
so,3x+22x =375
=>25x=375
=>x=375/25 i.e.15.
so,no.of officers =3*15=45
and no.of workers=22*15=330.

Step-by-step explanation:

The ratio of the number of officers to number of workers is 3 : 22, so let the number of officers be 3x and the number of workers be 22x.

Since the total number of employees is 35, so we must have

3x+22x=375\\\\\Rightarrow 25x=375\\\\\Rightarrow x=\dfrac{375}{25}\\\\\Rightarrow x=15.

Therefore, total number of officers = 3 × 15 = 45  and  total number of workers = 22 × 15 = 330.

Thus, the number of officers and workers are 45 and 330 respectively.
