Hey there! Thanks for the question!

Given question, There are 5 people in the room, You go into the room and kill 4 people . Now how many people are remaining?

Here, In the 5 people four of them are Already killed. So one person is remaining .

And even you are present over there.

So, The number of people alive in the room are 2 . But I feel question asks about number of people, either Alive or dead.

So eventually, there are 2 people alive and 4 dead.

Total people who are there in the room = 4 + 2 = 6 .

Therefore, We can say that 6 people remain in that room.

Hope helped! ^^

This question can have two different answers based on assumptions:

Given:

  • 5 people in a room.
  • You go in.
  • You kill 4 people.

Solution:

  • Assumption 1: If there were 5 in the room and you go in. It will become a total of six people now. After killing, if the dead are also assumed to be people, then there are 6 people in the room.
  • Assumption 2:  If there were 5 in the room and you go in. It will become a total of six people now. If you kill 4 people and the dead people do not account, then, there are 2 people in the room. You and the other living person.
