There are 500 children in a school. For P.T. drill they have to stand in such a manner that the number of row is equal to the number of columns. How many children would be left out of this management ?

Let total no. of rows = x
so columns = x

Total of 500 students

So x*x = 500
x =
 \sqrt{500}
so x =
 {22}^{2}  + 16
hence there will be 22 rows, 22 columns and 16 students will be left out
