17 heaps are formed.

&

The number of fruits in each heap :

  • Apple's in each heap = 527/17 = 31
  • Pear's in each heap = 646/17 = 38
  • Orange's in each heap = 748/17 = 44

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Given :

  • Number of Apple's = 527
  • Number of Pear's = 646
  • Number of Orange's = 748

To Find :

Total number of heaps formed.

Solution :

  • Step 1 -

Finding the H.C.F. of 527, 646 and 748.

So,

⟹ 527 = 17 × 31

⟹ 646 = 2 ×17 × 19

⟹ 748 = 2 × 2 × 17 × 11

The common number in the HCF is 17

So, 17 heaps can be formed.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

  • Step 2 -

Finding the number of fruits in each heap :

  • Apple's in each heap = 527/17 = 31
  • Pear's in each heap = 646/17 = 38
  • Orange's in each heap = 748/17 = 44
