Given :   There are 90 litres castrol and 150 litres crb mobil oils.the price of castrol is rs 80 per litre and price of crb is 75rs per litre.equal amount of castrol and crb is taken out and crb is poured out in the vessel castrol and castrol is poured out in vessel crb.   rate of both the mixture is same

To find : what is the amount of mobil oil taken out from each of the vessel.

Solution:

90 litres castrol price = 90 * 80 = Rs 7200

150 litre crb  price = 150 * 75 =  Rs 11250

Let say X litre is poured

Price in castrol vessel

= (90 - x) * 80  +  x * 75

= 7200 - 80x + 75x

= 7200 - 5x

Rate = (7200 - 5x)/90

Price in  crb  vessel

= (150 - x) * 75  +  x * 80

= 11250 - 75x + 80x

= 11250 + 5x

Rate = (11250 + 5x)/150

(11250 + 5x)/150   = (7200 - 5x)/90

=> (11250 + 5x)/5   = (7200 - 5x)/3

=> 33750 + 15x  = 36000 - 25x

=> 40x = 2250

=> x = 56.25

mount of mobil oil taken out from each of the vessel. = 56.25 litre
