Let x be the no. of correct answers and y be the no. of incorrect answers
According to question we have
10 questions where not attempted
x+y+10=90
=x+y=80 .....(1)
and also we have ,
Total Marks Scored=160
3 Marks for each correct and 1 Mark deducted for each incorrect
So, 3x - 1y =160 ......(2)
Solving eqn (1) and (2) by elimination method
x +y = 80
3x-y =160
== 4x = 240
= x = 60
Therefore, no. of correct answers us x which is 60.
