Let total number of trees be x.

=> Neem trees = x/4
Remaining number of trees = x-x/4 = 3x/4

=> Mango trees = (3x/4)/2 = 3x/8
Remaining number of trees = (3x/4)-(3x/8) = 3x/8

=> Drumstick trees = (3x/8)/2 = 3x/16
Remaining number of trees = (3x/8)-(3x/16) = 3x/16

=> Peepal trees = 3x/16
=> 6 =
3x/16
=> 96 = 3x
=> x = 32 trees

Answer:

32

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the total no. of trees be x

No. of Neem trees = \frac{1}{4}x

Remaining trees = x-\frac{x}{4}=\frac{3x}{4}

Half of the remaining trees are Mango trees

So, No. of mango trees = \frac{1}{2} \times \frac{3}{4}x=\frac{3}{8}x

Remaining trees = \frac{3x}{4}-\frac{3x}{8}=\frac{3x}{8}

Half of the remaining trees are drumstick trees

No. of drumstick trees = \frac{1}{2} \times \frac{3x}{8}=\frac{3x}{16}

Remaining trees =\frac{3x}{8}-\frac{3x}{16}=\frac{3x}{16}

We are given remaining are 6 people trees

So, \frac{3x}{16}=6

x=\frac{6 \times 16}{3}

x=32

Hence the total number of trees in the orchard is 32
