There are many different types of vehicles on the road, from bicycles to huge trucks carrying
heavy loads. If you look at the tyres of these vehicles, you will find that they come in many
different sizes. Analyse why some vehicles use broad tyres whereas some others use narrow
ones. Is there a connection between the function of a vehicle and the width of its tyres?

Answer:

Yes, it is a problem to have two tires of different sizes on the front (or back) of your car. Having two different-sized tires on the same axle is generally not a good thing. ... Sometimes, people choose to put larger tires on the rear axle of their vehicle for handling reasons, cosmetic reasons, etc.

Answer:

In case of bicycles the tyres are made narrow. This is because the area of the tyres become small when it is narrow which results in high pressure on the roads. This helps the cycle to move upon the ground with a resistance slowly so that such a small vehicle do not lead to accident.

In case of a truck, the tyres are made wider. This makes the area larger which results in lesser pressure on the ground. So the heavy load of trucks do not result in the sinking of the truck on the roads as the area of tyres being broad makes the pressure less.
