given,

Water bottles = 9

Full boxes =3

=67

Find:

The number of bottles in a full box =?

let bottles in full boxes be x,

Equation is

9+ 3x + 2(x-1) = 67

\mathrm{Subtract\:}9\mathrm{\:from\:both\:sides}\\9+3x+2\left(x-1\right)-9=67-9\\3x+2\left(x-1\right)=58\\3x+2x-2=58\\\mathrm{Add\:similar\:elements:}\:3x+2x=5x\\5x-2=58\\\mathrm{Add\:}2\mathrm{\:to\:both\:sides}\\5x-2+2=58+2\\5x=60\\\mathrm{Divide\:both\:sides\:by\:}5\\\frac{5x}{5}=\frac{60}{5}\\x=12

Hence, the correct answer is x=12.
