Brazil is a country in the eastern part of South America that has the Atlantic ocean bordering it on the eastern side. The Amazon basin and the Tocantins-Araguaia basins are one of the biggest river ecosystems in the world that are present in Brazil.

There are 7 major rivers in Brazil and 5 coastal minor river basins. All these rivers and river basins mostly flow towards the eastern side. They arise from the Andes mountains on the western side of South America and flow towards the east to meet the Atlantic ocean.

Therefore, all the rivers in Brazil flow only towards the east into the Atlantic ocean as the Andes are present on the Western side.
