no. of ₹ .50 coins be b

B/Q,

a + b = 140

b= 140- a

B/Q,

.25 a + .50 b = 50

.25 a + .50 (140-a) = 50

.25 a + 70 - .50 a = 50

20 = .25 a

a = 20 ÷ 0.25

a = 80

b = 140 - a

b= 140 - 80

b = 60
