There are some oranges in a box.The number of oranges in another box is 40 more then those more then those in the first box .If the total number of oranges is 160 , find the number of oranges in each box

Let the first box be x

so

x=160-40

x=120

There are 3 boxes so

120÷3

40

The no. of oranges in each box will be 40

let the first box have x oranges

2nd box have 40+x

total oranges are 160

x+(40+x )= 160
