let the no of pigeons be X
let no of rabbits be Y
so according to the first statement
X+Y=200
and according to the second statement
as there will be two legs for each pigeon so there will 2X legs and similarly for rabbit there will be a total of 4Y legs
so... 2X+4Y=580
on solving these two we get X =110 and Y=90
so no of pigeons are 110 and no of rabbits are 90

Answer: Option D

Explanation:

Let x and y be the number of deer and peacocks in the zoo respectively. Then,  x + y = 80 ...(i) and 4x + 2y = 200 or 2x + y = 100 ...(ii)  Solving (i) and (ii), we get) x = 20, y = 60.
