There are some students in the two examination halls A and B. To make the number of
students equal in each hall, 10 students are sent from Hall A to Hall B. But if 20 students are
sent from Hall B to Hall A, the number of students in Hall A becomes double the number of
students left in Hall B. Find the number of students in the two halls

Answer:

Number of students in Class A = 100

Number of students in Class B = 80

Step-by-step explanation:

If 10 students are sent from class A to class B both become equal,

ie, A - 10 = B + 10

ie, A = B + 20 -----------(1)

Also if 20 students from class B is sent to class A, number of students in class A becomes double that of class B,

ie, A + 20 = (B - 20) * 2

When we put equation (1) here,

B + 20 + 20 = 2B - 40

B = 80

A = 80 + 20 = 100
