let the two consecutive odd integers be x, x+2
larger number is x+2
smaller number is x
given,
sum of square of the larger number and 4 times the smaller number is 349
therefore,(x+2)^2+4x=349
(x+2)^2+4x=349
 ({x + y})^{2}  =  {x}^{2}  + 2xy +  {y}^{2}
x^2+4x+4+4x=349
x^2+8x+4=349
x^2+8x=349-4
x^2+8x=345
x^2+8x-345=0
x^2+23x-15x-345=0
x(x+23)-15(x-23)=0
(x+23)(x-15)=0
x+23=0. x-15=0
x=-23. x=15
x+2=-23+2. x+2=15+2
x+2=-21. x+2=17
therefore the two odd numbers are -21,-23 or 15,17
