i ) Dimensions of the Cuboid :
length ( l ) = 60 ,
breadth ( b ) = 40 ,
height ( h ) = 50
volume ( v ) = lbh
= 60 × 40 × 50
= 120000 cubic units ----( 1 )
ii ) Dimensions of the cube :
side ( a ) = 50 units
volume ( V ) = a³
V = ( 50 )³
V = 125000 cubic units -----( 2 )
Here ,
( 1 ) < ( 2 )
Therefore ,
First Cubiod requires less amount
of material .
