Actually the two fathers and two sons are A grandfather, father and a son which mean that one of the father and son are same person so in total only 3 people so that each person gets 1 apple.

There are only 3 persons becoz:
there is a father and he has a son.that son also has a son.
now,
if you count the number of fathers, there will be 2 fathers
if you count the number of sons , there will be 2 sons.
