so, by reference to the above statement, we can conclude that there are 2 nuclei around each stoma which belong to their respective guard cells...

There is one nucleus in each guard cell.
Therefore, no. of nuclei around each stoma
=2 X 1
=2
Hence, there are two nuclei around each Stoma....
