There are two neutral conductors A and B. 2000 electrons
are transfered from conductor A to B and then 1500
electrons are trnasfered from B to A. Calculate difference

Given:

Electrons transferred from A to B = 2000

Electrons transferred from B to A = 1500

To Find:

Difference  in charge of these conductors.

Calculation:

Electrons transferred = 2000 - 1500 = 500

⇒ 500 electrons are transferred from A to B

- Positive charge on A = charge on 500 electrons

⇒ Positive charge on A = 500 × 1.6 × 10⁻¹⁹ = 8 × 10⁻¹⁷ C

- Negative charge on B = charge on 500 electrons

⇒ Negative charge on B = 500 × 1.6 × 10⁻¹⁹ = 8 × 10⁻¹⁷ C

- Total difference in charge of A and B= 8 × 10⁻¹⁷ + 8 × 10⁻¹⁷ = 1.6 × 10⁻¹⁶ C
