• Packet 1 of rice weighing 14kg 50 g.
• Packet 2 of rice weighing 19580 g

To Find:

The heavier bag amongst the two and by how much.

Solution:

1kg= 1000g

∴ 1g= 0.001kg

Converting the weights of both the bags into Kg-

• Packet 1 of rice= 14Kg 50g = 14Kg + 0.050Kg= 14.05 Kg
• Packet 2 of rice= 19580g= 19.580 Kg

As we can see that packet 2 of rice is heavier than packet 1 of rice, we will now find the difference between their weights-

• Difference = Weight of packet 2 - Weight of packet 1

• ⇒ (19.580 - 14.05) Kg
• ⇒5.53 Kg

Hence, Packet 2 of rice is heavier than packet 1 of rice by a weight of 5.53 Kg.
