We have,

ratio of two squares S1 and S2

as 4:25 .

S1 square has a length of 6 cm

So, area of square S1 = (6)²= 36 cm²

let the length of square S2 as x cm

So, area of square S2 = x²cm²

Now,

according to this,

36:x²:: 4:25

or, 36/x² = 4/25

or, 9/x² = 1/25

or, (3/x)²= (1/5)²

or, 3/x = 1/5

or, x = 15 cm

So S1 square has a length of 15 cm.

Given,

the ratio of their areas is 4:25.if the side of square s1 is 6 cm.

To Find,

Length of side of s2.

Solution,

Side of S1 = 6 cm.

Area of square = (6)^2 = 36 cm.

Side of S2 = x cm.

Area of square = x^2 cm.

Ratio of Area is 4 : 25

==> 36 : x^2 :: 4 : 25

==> 36/x^2 = 4/25

==> 900 = 4x^2

==> x = 15.

Result,

Length of side of S2 = 15 cm
